I’ve visited over 100 hot spring inns, ranging from secluded, off-the-beaten-path spots to high-end ryokans. This is my second time staying here. [Room] The inn has been renovated in key areas, giving it a blend of old-world ryokan charm and modern style, but while the room itself is clean, you can’t deny that it shows its age. The in-room toilet is also a bit lacking for a ryokan in this price range. Also, though this is a matter of personal preference, the futon is on the firm side. On the other hand, the garden and private baths are absolutely wonderful! [Hot Springs] The hot springs have an abundant flow of water and are fed directly from the source.
