I stayed in the “Bird Song Room.” Sure enough, birds were gently chirping from early morning. As soon as I pulled into the parking lot, someone came right out to greet me—the service was truly top-notch. Four out of the five cars parked there were Volvos. I wondered if this was a place that Volvo owners particularly liked, which made me feel somewhat at ease. The water in the in-room bath was gentle and warm, a wonderful soak that warmed me right to the core. The in-room sauna was large enough for three people, and I was able to lie down and relax all by myself, but it felt quite hot—almost tingling—so I dipped a towel in the bathwater to cool off.
